Foster Caregiver Agreement By agreeing to foster in partnership with Love-A-Bull I agree to the following:
State and Local Laws: I agree to abide by the laws of the State of Texas, including those of local municipalities and counties regarding animals, this includes, but is not limited to, local leash laws.
Pet’s Safety: During my time as a foster parent, I will not allow my foster dog to interact with any animal other than those owned by me and that are disclosed on the foster application. I further agree that I will NOT allow my foster animal off-leash even in designated leash free-zones such as dog parks and hiking trails.
Pet's Temperament and Behavior: I understand that Love-A-Bull cannot guarantee the health or disposition of any foster dog and does not always have past records for these animals. I understand that there are some risks associated with taking in foster dogs that are out of Love-A-Bull’s control.
Health and Wellness: I agree to keep all my pets current on all vaccinations, including without limitation, bordetella, parvo, distemper, and rabies. I agree to separate any animal showing symptoms of illness from the other animals in the home as soon as symptoms are observed, and to seek veterinary care and notify Love-A-Bull immediately.
Care and Nurturing: I agree to be fully responsible for the safety and well being of the foster dog. I will provide a safe, loving, humane environment with adequate food, water and shelter at all times. I will not leave the foster dog unattended in the back yard when I leave home, nor will I tie the dog to any anchors and leave unattended. I will not crop the ears or crop tail of a fostered dog, nor will I make any medical decisions for the dog without Love-A-Bull’s written (email or text) approval. I will not punish physically or yell at the foster dog. I will adhere to all state and local animal laws, ensuring the foster dog wears a collar with identification at all times. I will promptly notify Love-A-Bull immediately if the foster dog becomes lost.
Transfer of Animals: Dogs cannot be transferred to the custody of another person, shelter, humane society, SPCA, or other entity without prior consent and permission from Love-A-Bull. I agree to not place this dog in another home without the written or verbal authorization from Love-A-Bull Board Member, even if the arrangement is temporary. I agree that if I go out of town, I will consult Love-A-Bull regarding any and all intermittent care of the foster dog including pet sitters, boarding, or temporary foster arrangements.
Return of Animals: I agree that I am fostering this dog for Love-A-Bull and that I do not have any right of ownership over the foster dog. I understand that the State of Texas views pet animals as property, and under law all foster dogs within the Love-A-Bull program are the legal property of Love-A-Bull. If the foster dog is requested returned by Love-A-Bull, I agree to return the dog within 24 hours of the request. I agree to allow Authorized Love-A-Bull representatives designated access to my home and property to check on the foster dog at any time while I am in possession of the foster dog. I understand that if I wish to adopt the foster dog, I will be subject to Love-A-Bull’s standard adoption process.
Supplies: I agree to promptly return any foster supplies that Love-A-Bull has provided during my time as an approved foster home. I understand and agree that any flea/tick, heartworm preventative or food supplied by Love-A-Bull is to be used solely for the foster dog and not for any personal animals I may already have in my home.
Personal or Property Damage and/or Injury: All dogs possess the propensity to bite and injury other pets and humans. I acknowledge that accidental animal bites or other injuries to humans and other animals do occur and are part of the risk taken when agreeing to foster a dog. I agree to hold harmless, indemnify, and protect Love-A-Bull from any claim or suit filed by someone as a result of such an incident.
In addition, Love-A-Bull will not be responsible if the dog should damage or destroy property belonging to Foster Caregiver, Foster Caregiver household, or others, or if the dog transfers any disease or internal/external parasites to other animals and people in the Foster Caregiver's household.
Love-A-Bull feels it is important for all volunteers to be current on their tetanus vaccination if they will be handling animals as a Love-A-Bull volunteer or foster. If a foster has questions about the tetanus vaccination, he or she is encouraged to consult a physician, at the volunteer’s own expense, to decide whether or not to be vaccinated against tetanus. I understand and agree to the above tetanus waiver. Furthermore, I release Love-A-Bull from all responsibility that may occur as a result of not being vaccinated against tetanus, and I understand that whatever decision I make regarding vaccinations for my child/children is at my own risk.
Photo Release: I agree on behalf of myself, my heirs, assignees, guardians, and personal and legal representatives and executors to allow Love-A-Bull to use any photographs and images taken of my family members when included in photographs of the foster dog provided by the foster or taken at events without payment. I agree to formally notify Love-A-Bull if they should not share specific photographs at the time those photos are shared with Love-A-Bull or taken at events. I understand that Love-A-Bull reserves the right to use any and all photographs or to promote Love-A-Bull services or Love-A-Bull programs, or to publicize any event without payment or notification. I understand that all prints and negatives become the sole property of Love-A-Bull and may be used by Love-A-Bull without payment or notification.
Accuracy of Information: By signing below, I acknowledge that the information provided to Love-A-Bull on my foster application is correct to the best of my knowledge. If at any time the information I have provided changes, I will provide the updated information to Love-A-Bull's Adopt-A-Bull Foster Care Program.
I understand that if I am approved for fostering, this declaration represents a legal contract between me as the foster home caregiver and Love-A-Bull. I understand that if I am approved to foster a dog, I must abide by this agreement and that this agreement applies to any and all dogs that I foster with Love-A-Bull. Any breach of this agreement will result in the termination of the foster agreement and may result in legal action.

Waiver and Release and Agreement to Indemnify Love-A-Bull, Inc. (Love-A-Bull) is a private, nonprofit animal welfare organization that was organized to educate and to advocate on behalf of dogs commonly labeled pit bull type dogs. The mission of Love-A-Bull is to promote responsible guardianship and improve the image and lives of pit bull type dogs through community support, education, advocacy and rescue.

I understand and agree that as a volunteer for Love-A-Bull I assume all risks of loss or injury, including death to myself or damage to my property while participating in the Love-A-Bull volunteer program.
I understand and agree that Love-A-Bull shall incur no liability of any nature as a result of my volunteering for Love-A-Bull.
I understand that Love-A-Bull is not liable for any damage or theft to my products or property and I am fully responsible for any injury sustained by engaging in any and all Love-A-Bull events or Love-A-Bull Volunteer opportunities.
I fully understand the risks of attending animal-oriented events, and in consideration for being allowed to attend Love-A-Bull events or volunteer opportunities, or for allowing my spouse and children to attend such an event, I hereby release Love-A-Bull, Inc., from any and all claims, damages, inquiries, losses, sums, or any cause of action which may result from, and hereby assume each and every damage incident to, on behalf of myself and my spouse, children, and other persons and animals, I am responsible for or may have legal claims who are attending the event or volunteer opportunity, whether it caused by negligence or otherwise.
Oh behalf of myself, my heirs and personal representatives, I hereby release, discharge and indemnify and hold harmless Love-A-Bull and its assigns, successors, agents, volunteers, board of directors, contractors and representatives from and and all claims, causes of action or demands of any nature of cause whatsoever, including costs and legal fees arising out of or relating to my volunteering with Love-A-Bull including but not limited to animal bites, disease, accidents, property damage, or injuries.
I hereby agree to fully indemnify Love-A-Bull for any damages caused by myself, my spouse, children, or my animal at any event or volunteer opportunity. Such damages shall include, but not be limited to, cost of defense, in addition to indemnification damages. In signing this Waiver and Release and Agreement to Indemnify, I understand the intent thereof, and I hereby agree to release from responsibility and waive all claims against Love-A-Bull, Inc., its Board of Directors and volunteers, the organizers of any Love-A-Bull event, its sponsors, cooperating organizations, and any other parties connected with any Love-A-Bull event in any way, for any blame or liability, demand, injury, harm, loss of property, or damage I might sustain as a result of participation in any Love-A-Bull event or by volunteering for Love-A-Bull and any activities associated therewith. I fully accept and assume all risks and all responsibility for losses, costs and damages I incur as a result of my participation in this event.

Policies and Procedures The following are the Policies and Procedures for Love-A-Bull which you are responsible to follow at all times. All volunteers for Love-A-Bull are required to sign this agreement. Following these rules will make your Love-A-Bull volunteer experience a successful and fulfilling one and will protect the organization from harm. I will abide by all Love-A-Bull Policies and Procedures.
I will represent the Love-A-Bull program in a professional manner and be prompt and on time for every commitment made.
I will be well-groomed. Comfortable and casual clothing is acceptable, with an emphasis on neatness and professionalism. No torn jeans, sleeveless shirts or open toe shoes/sandals/flip-flops are acceptable.
I will clean up after any animal I handle.
I will not tie animals to people, equipment or furniture. I will always keep its leash firmly in my control.
I will not be under the influence of alcohol and/or illegal drugs when volunteering.
I will not borrow money or personal items, or receive personal tips, gifts or money from people I visit. Any donations received will be turned over to Love-A-Bull.
I understand and agree that all services performed by me will be performed on a strictly voluntary basis and that I will receive no remuneration, pay or compensation of any kind.
I understand that handling animals and performing other volunteer tasks that there is a risk of injury, including physical harm or death, and that all services performed by me will be done at its own risk. I understand Love-A-Bull strongly recommends that I keep current my tetanus immunization.
I will not charge a fee for services in my role as a Love-A-Bull representative.
In case of an accident or unusual occurrence I will immediately notify a Love-A-Bull Board member or representative.
I understand I must obtain approved written permission from Love-A-Bull for each proposed usage of the Love-A-Bull name/logo or Pit Crew name/logo.
I understand Love-A-Bull materials and logos are the property of Love-A-Bull and I will not use them without express written consent of a Love-A-Bull Board Member.
I agree not to create any website, Facebook or other social media page, or any other public forum with the intent to slander or do malicious harm by referencing or referring to Love-A-Bull or its employees, volunteers, officers, directors, and/or board members whether past or present with disparaging content. *
